What our clients say about us

Our Surveying Services in Didcot
Home Condition Survey
A Home Condition Survey (RICS Level 1) gives you a clear, jargon- free assessment of a property's condition before you commit. It's well suited to Didcot's newer developments, including Great Western Park and Valley Park, highlighting the pros and cons of your potential purchase so you can make an informed decision. Reports are delivered within 3-5 working days of the inspection.
Homebuyers Report
A Homebuyers Report is a RICS Level 2 survey suited to conventional properties in reasonable condition. It gives a clear overview of the property's condition, identifying issues such as subsidence, damp and roof defects that could affect value or future maintenance. We carry out Homebuyers Reports across Didcot, Abingdon, Wallingford and Wantage, delivered within 2-3 working days.
Building Survey
A Building Survey is our most comprehensive inspection, a RICS Level 3 report recommended for older, larger or more complex properties. It's particularly suited to the period homes near Didcot town centre and older properties throughout South Oxfordshire. Covers defects, repair advice and an overall condition rating, within 3-5 working days.
RICS Shared Ownership Valuation
If you're staircasing or selling your shared ownership home anywhere in Oxfordshire, you'll need an independent RICS valuation. Our surveyors are local to the area and experienced in working alongside Housing Associations, so every valuation meets your provider's requirements and includes a full inspection, comparable evidence and market valuation.
RICS Help to
Buy Valuation
If you bought your home through the Help to Buy equity loan scheme and are now selling or repaying the loan, you'll need an independent RICS valuation. We provide Help to Buy valuations across Didcot and throughout Oxfordshire, prepared to RICS Red Book standards and accepted by lenders and the relevant authorities.
Drone Inspection
Surveys
Our drone service uses high-resolution aerial imaging to inspect roofs, chimneys and guttering, areas that are difficult or unsafe to reach on foot. It's especially valuable for both older properties and new-builds, where roofing and finishing details are worth a close look. Available as an add-on to a Level 2 report and included as standard with a Level 3 Building Survey.

Properties We Survey in Witney
Didcot has grown substantially over the past two decades, with major developments including Great Western Park, Valley Park and other Garden Town expansion projects sitting alongside the town’s older housing. Our surveyors regularly inspect:

- Victorian and Edwardian properties
- Post-war housing
- Character cottages
- Flats and apartments
- Converted properties
- Rural and village properties in the surrounding area
Surveying New-Build Homes in Didcot
Didcot has grown faster than almost anywhere else in Oxfordshire. Great Western Park, Valley Park and the wider Garden Town developments have added thousands of homes, and a large share of buyers here are purchasing a property that is only a few years old, or brand new.
There is a common assumption that a new home does not need a survey. In practice, modern properties are built quickly and to tight programmes, and the issues we see are usually about workmanship rather than structure: incomplete or poorly fitted insulation, drainage falls that do not run correctly, roof detailing at valleys and abutments, and finishing work that has been rushed. None of these is visible on a viewing, and most are far easier to resolve while the developer is still responsible for them.
A Home Condition Survey is usually the right level for a new or nearly new property. If the home is still within its warranty period, having an independent record of its condition puts you in a much stronger position when raising anything with the developer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Your mortgage lender will usually require a valuation report, but these are not the same as a Building Survey, Homebuyers Report or Home Condition Survey. A valuation report is designed around the lender’s needs, not yours, and will not contain all the information you need to make an informed decision.
Yes. A Home Condition Survey is most suitable for new-build properties. Modern homes can still contain issues relating to workmanship, drainage, insulation, roofing and finishing details that may not be obvious during a viewing.
A warranty and a survey do different jobs. A warranty sets out what the developer or provider is responsible for putting right; it does not tell you what is actually wrong with the property. An independent survey gives you that record, which is what you need in order to raise anything under the warranty in the first place.
Yes. As well as Didcot, our surveyors regularly work across South Oxfordshire, including Harwell, Blewbury, Sutton Courtenay, Milton, Steventon, Abingdon, Wallingford and Wantage. If you are unsure whether we cover your area, please get in touch.
