Homebuyers Report
What is a Homebuyers Report?
A home buyer report is a survey suitable for conventional properties in reasonable condition. This will help you find out if there are any structural problems, such as subsidence or damp, as well as any other unwelcome hidden issues inside and outside. It is a level 2 RICS report.
The Homebuyer Survey is a non-intrusive visual inspection, in which your surveyor will inspect visible areas in your property to report on the condition of your home and highlight any defects.
What's involved in a Homebuyers Report?
In a Homebuyers report the RICS surveyor will inspect and report on the below:
• Signs of subsidence
• Report on dangerous materials such as signs of asbestos
• Reports on signs of infestations such as rats and bats
• Checks drains
• Checks utilities including boiler and electric meter
• Inspects loft space
• Inspects roof
• Looks for signs of damp
• Reinstatement value
How Long Does It take?
Once the surveyor has inspected the property they will write up and produce a report for the client within 2-3 working days.
