What is a Homebuyers Report?

A Homebuyer Report is designed for conventional properties that appear to be in reasonable condition. It provides a clear, easy-to-understand overview of the property’s condition and highlights any issues that could affect its value, safety or future maintenance.

This is a RICS Level 2 Survey and includes a visual, non-intrusive inspection of the accessible areas of the property.

It helps you make an informed decision before committing to your purchase — avoiding unexpected costs after you move in.

What's involved in a Homebuyers Report?

Your RICS surveyor will inspect and report on:

Signs of subsidence or structural movement
Damp and moisture defects
The condition of the roof and external walls
Loft space and visible insulation
Signs of hazardous materials such as asbestos
Evidence of infestations (e.g. rodents or bats)
Drainage where accessible
Utilities including boiler and electricity meter

How Long Does It take?

Your report will be delivered within 2–3 working days after the inspection.
